Pauline B. Waltner , 93, passed away Sunday, Nov.13, 2011, in Norman.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Bethany Mennonite Church in Freeman, S.D., with burial at Freeman Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Havenbrook Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Niles, Ohio, to John and Blanche (Lockwood) Hoffman.
She attended Niles public schools, the University of Iowa and the University of South Dakota where she met her future husband. She was united in marriage on July 20, 1938, to Glenn H. Waltner . Pauline lived in Freeman more than 60 years and was very active in her church and community. She moved to Norman in Oct. 2011 to be near family.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons, John and James; one brother; two sisters and daughter-in-law, Janice.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey and his wife Twila; grandchildren, Susan Williamson and husband Jim, Kelly Stephenson and husband Ken, Karl Waltner and wife Jackie, Mary Law and husband Brian and Ann O'Donnell; five great-grandchildren, Alec Stephenson, JuliAnne and Ashlee Williamson and Robert and Katie Law; daughter-in-law, Loretta Waltner ; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorials may be made to Norman Regional Hospital Foundation, 901 N. Porter, Norman, OK 73071.
