Linda Joyce Walters, 71, of Ponca City, OK, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, in Tulsa, OK, after a battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the PowerHouse of Faith Christian Center, 114 N. Oak St, Ponca City. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave., Ponca City, OK, 74601.
Linda was born on November 15, 1952, in Little Rock, AR, to Mary Lee Robinson and Ira Wright. She was one of 9 siblings: Barbara Jennings, Ira Wright, Jr. (deceased), Roy Wright (deceased), Joe Wright, Donnie Wright, Jan Williams, Mary Newsome and Billy Newsome.
Linda was married for 45 years to her husband, Albert Allen Walters. They had three children: son, Mark Wright and daughter-in-law, Pamela Wright; Ramon Johnson; daughter, Sherma Adia Walters and son-in-law, John Hensley. Linda enjoyed her six grandchildren: Jason Hensley, Markus Wright, Jaszmine Wright, Denese Dillihant, Glenese Colquitt and Cherenelle Colquitt; 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Linda was a ling-time member of the PowerHouse of Faith Christian Center, under the leadership of Bishop J.R. and Dr. Gail Thompson in Ponca City, where she was one of the lead ushers and a member of the church choir.
