Lola Ellen (Dodson) Walters
June 13, 1957 ~ 2015

The celebration of life for Lola Ellen Walters, 57, of Enid, will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born June 13, 1957, on Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield Calif., to Donald Eugene "Buck" Dodson and Laura Jane (Blackburn) Dodson.

She was raised and educated in Enid and received her GED in 1977. She attended Enid Beauty College in 1973, graduating in April of 1974. She moved to Albuquerque, N.M., and attended self-help college courses. She returned to Enid in 1996 where she made her home.

She was a licensed hypnotherapist. She was a master gardener, food preserver and chef.

She is survived by her companion, Bill Nash of the home; son, Eddie Carl Barnett II of Enid; daughter, Laura Lucille Roberts of Enid; 10 grandchildren; 2.5 great grandchildren; mother, Laura Dodson of Enid; brothers, Joel Dodson of Enid, David Dodson of Oklahoma City; sisters, Tammy Callaway of Enid and Donna Miller of Nashville.

She is preceded in death by her father.

Memorials may be made to the YMCA Back-A-Youth program or the Enid SPCA with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
