Services for James Eldon Wallace, 77, Wynnewood are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada, Revs. Dan Cusher and Ernie Staggs will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Carthage, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 2686 NW 167N in Sheridan, Arkansas.
Mr. Wallace died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at his home. He was born May 18, 1933 in Carthage, Arkansas to Eldin and Maude Orr Wallace. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting. He received a Master's degree from the University of Oklahoma in Public Administration. Mr. Wallace served in the U. S. Army where he performed audits for the Army and Army contractors.
He married Teresa G. Maddox Rue on March 17, 2000. Mr. Wallace was a certified internal auditor for Mustang Fuel Corporation and currently the owner and C. E. O. of Jetty Counseling Center. He was an avid farmer and rancher and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife Teresa, of the home; a son, David Wallace, Newcastle; a step-son, Rance Rue, of the home; a daughter, Jessica Wallace-Cloninger, Ft. Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Ignce Wallace, Lexis Wallace, Caroline Cloninger and Alyssa Cloninger; a sister, Ouida McNett, Cocoa Beach, Florida; a brother, John Rayburn Wallace, Malvern, AR; and special friends, David Lindsay and Royce Kimbrell.
He was preceded in death by a son, Slan Wallace and two brothers, Bruce and Miles Wallace.
