William "Doc" Walker

William "Doc" Walker

Will or "Doc" Walker, as many knew him, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at his home in Pawhuska, Ok. He was 55 years old.

Will was born April 14, 1958 in Victorville, San Bernadino County, CA to Marina Exine Walker and Eugene Walker Sr.

On November 14, 1981, Will married Katherine Mae Wolfe in Casitas Springs, CA. In November of 1991 Will and his family moved to Pawhuska to be near family. Doc was a Navy Veteran and worked in many different professions, including; logging, oil field work, and dental service technician and sales. Doc enjoyed riding his Electra Glide Harley Davidson, golfing with his brothers, fishing, playing horse shoes, watching movies with his family and friends, painting for all of his family and friends, as well as the town of Pawhuska. A Commemorative painting by Doc can be seen on the wall dedicated to his memory as his legacy located on the side of Steve Venturi's law office on 7th street, in Pawhuska. He was also an avid pool player, having played all his life.

He had many friends including his best friend William Gilkey, whom he always made time for. He was a loving husband and father and would do anything for his girls. To his grandchildren, he was very much like their father but, he was known to them as Papa.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy Walker, his daughters Charity Walker, Chrissy Walker, Candace Walker, and Casie Walker; his grandchildren Tyrae Walker, Alana Hobson, and Alexander Walker; his mother Marina Exine Walker; brothers Eugene Walker Jr and wife Susan of Bartlesville; Michael E. Walker of Pawhuska; and Gale W. Walker and wife Tracy of Chanute, KS; and a sister-in-law Shana Walker of Pawhuska; nieces include Amy, Becke, Shelby, and Aubrie; nephews Daniel, Craig, Kevin, Taylor, Devon, and Hunter; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Will was preceded in death by his father Eugene Walker Sr.

His Memorial services will be Saturday, October 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall located on 9th Street and Prudom in Pawhuska, OK. Will's wish was to be remembered by a memorial celebrating his life and loved ones. There will be a prayer and a gathering of family and friends all welcome to bring food and any memorabilia.
