FORMER RESIDENT PASSES

Mrs. L. C. Poth, the former Bertha Banner who resided in Roger Mills County from 1909 to 1925 writes:

I thought perhaps the old timers of Roger Mills County might be interested to know of the passing of Mrs. Frances Walker, formerly of Strong City.

They moved to Oklahoma in 1902 from Iowa and lived on a farm near Roll until about 1917 when they moved to Strong City where Mr. Walker was owner and operater of the Ford Motor Co.

They moved to the lower Rio Grande Valley and settled in the San Benito community in 1925, Lozano, a little trade center where they lived until her death, December 13, 1959.

Mr. Walker preceded her in death in 1948.

She passed away in the Harlington hospital where she was confined after a fall which broke a hip two weeks ago. She was doing well until she suffered a heart attack.

She leaves no known relatives.

Mr. Walker has a nephew, J. J. Walker of La Feria, Texas.

She was 80 years of age.
