Douglas Paul Walker

November 30, 1945 ~ October 6, 2014

Douglas Paul Walker, 68 of McAlester, died Monday, October 6, 2014 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 13 at Bishop Chapel of Memories. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.

Doug was born on November 30, 1945 in Muskogee to John Alexander, Jr. and Mary Virginia Martin Walker. He was raised in Muskogee and attended Central High School.

He joined the United States Air Force, serving in New Mexico and London. After the military, Doug graduated from Northeastern State College in Tahlequah.

He met and married the love of his life, Alice “Sadie”. Doug will be missed greatly by his family, as well as his many friends.

Survivors include siblings: Alice Marie Bradley of Arlington, Texas, Richard Larry Walker of Texarkana, Texas, William Harry Walker and wife, Judy of Pensacola, Florida, John Patrick Walker and wife, Ginger of Tulsa, Martin Stephen “Steve” Walker and wife, Carol of Carrollton, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law: Paul “P.J.” Bradley, and a sister-in-law: Betty Ann Walker.
