Carol Jean (Schoenfelder) Walker
December 9, 1942 ~ February 8, 2023

Carol Jean Schoenfelder-Walker of Kingston, Oklahoma has gained her wings and rejoined her heavenly family. She passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday February 8th and she was 80 years old. Carol was a seven year cancer survivor and she battled with resilience and perseverance. She is survived by her husband Gary of 61 years, son John Robert Walker, daughter Susan Kay Walker-Jeffreys, and grandchildren Kyle and Kristopher Jeffreys. She is also survived by her sister Jan Schoenfelder-Wolfe, and husband Tony, niece Kelly Wolfe, brother Ken Schoenfelder and wife Sara.

She was born on December 9th, 1942, in St. Joseph, Missouri where she graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart High School. She graduated from the National School of Aeronautics, Kansas City, KS and then made her way to Oklahoma City working as a stewardess for Central Airlines. There she met her husband Gary and on February 10, 1962, was married in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Oklahoma City. Their travels took them to Mineral Wells, TX, Isfahan, Iran, Norman, Oklahoma and finally to Kingston, Oklahoma. Carol provided love and support for her family and was well loved by everyone in her community. She volunteered her time in many organizations, including Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mineral Wells, Texas to the Norman Oklahoma Municipal Hospital. Besides caring for her family, she enjoyed reading, gardening and her Silver Sneakers classes. Carol was a bright light and will be missed by everyone. She will be forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Centric Hospice Durant, 1605 N. Washington Avenue, Durant, Oklahoma 74701 or St. Williams Catholic Church, Durant, Oklahoma, 74701.
