Willis Russell Waldorf

December 08, 1934 ~ November 19, 2006

Willis Russell Waldorf, 71, of Collinsville, OK passed away Sunday, November 19, 2006 in Collinsville, OK. He was born December 8, 1934 to Graydon Waldorf and the former Vivian Willis in El Dorado, KS. He grew up in Oil Hill, KS. He later married Margaret Ridgway on June 10, 1956. He served 16 years with Naval Construction Battalion (CB's), sang with the choir at the Community Church where he was a member. He volunteered with Founders Day and the Tri-County Fair. He was a Chemist/Geologist with TRW.

He is survived by his wife Margaret of the home, 2 Daughters: Shari Sampson and her husband Don of Park City, KS and Karla Hernandez and her husband Gustavo of Tulsa, OK. 2 Grandchildren: Trey and Graydon Sampson of park City, KS. 1 Brother: Keith Waldorf of Towanda, KS. 1 Sister: Sally White of Topeka, KS, 1 niece and several newphews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Community Church with Rev. Helmer A. Johnson Officiating. Interment will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Walnut Valley Cemetery in El Dorado, KS. Services are under the direction of Collinsville Funeral Home.
