January 8, 1942 ~ May 17, 2021

Rosie Lee (Russell) Waldon age 79 of Mead, Oklahoma and formerly of Haltom City, Texas passed away on May 17, 2021 at her home at the age of 79. Rosie was born on January 8, 1942 in Italy, Texas to Raymond and Frances (Works) Russell.

Rosie attended Birdville ISD in Haltom City, TX and later married Jimmie Earl Waldon on March 13, 1958 in Gainesville, TX. Jimmie passed away on August 27, 2011after 53 years of marriage. Rosie was a loving and dedicated mother and wife who gave of her time and talents to many charities. She was a member of Diamond Oaks Church of God in Haltom City, TX. She loved her dogs Lucy, Copper and Margaret and she enjoyed fishing and country music. Rosie had a deep love for her family and friends and she treasured the time she spent with them.

Rosie was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie E. Waldon; parents Raymond and Frances Russell and sister Georgia Williamson.

Loved ones left behind to cherish her memory are children Michael Waldon and wife Gerrie of Burleson, TX Michele Wooten of Bedford, TX, Matthew Waldon and wife Diane Christofferson of Mead, OK and Heather Goff of Denton, TX; grandchildren Amy Wooten of Bedford, TX, Chad Wooten of Bedford, TX, Mikaela Waldon of Burleson, TX, Anna Belle Waldon of Burleson, TX and Kolby Goff of Denton, TX; great granddaughter Brielle Wooten of Bedford, TX and many nieces, nephews and family members.

A memorial service to celebrate Rosie’s life will be held at 1:00 PM June 13, 2021 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel.
