Geoffrey Todd Wakefield

Geoffrey Todd Wakefield
April 09, 1986 ~ June 23, 2015

Geoffrey Todd Wakefield, 29, walked into the arms of Jesus on June 23, 2015. He was born April 9, 1986, in Gainesville, Texas, to Guy L. Wakefield of Oklahoma City and Karen D. Wakefield of Guthrie, Oklahoma.

In his youth, Geoffrey played many sports and took First Chair for Violin in his junior year of high school. As an adult, Geoffrey was a Mechanic and Contractor who could multitask in many areas. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, swimming, star gazing, and was an accomplished grill master. Geoffrey also became an avid billiard player, and enjoyed sparring with our dog, Bishop. He loved classic cars and became an enthusiastic Nascar fan. He also enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys professional football team as well as the Oklahoma State Cowboys College football team. He loved to listen to music from various artists and watch his sports events on his big screen television. However, most important in his life were his family and his close friends. He never met a stranger, and always greeted you with a smile and a hug. Geoffrey was a charismatic individual who brought life and laughter to any conversation or gathering, and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and love him.

Geoffrey is preceded in death by his daughter, Autumn Rose Wakefield and his uncle, Jay Brian Wakefield.

Geoffrey is survived by his mother, Karen Wakefield, father, Guy Wakefield, brother, Jonathan Wakefield and his fiancee, Dana Reeder. He is also survived by his grandparents, Gene and Ruth Hancock of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, Michael and Ellie Briney of Guthrie and Dave and Judy Murphy of Klamath Falls, Oregon. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of Geoffrey's life will be held on July 4th at 3:00 PM at Highland Park in Guthrie.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
