Carol Ann (Owens) Wakefield left this world on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her home in Chandler, Oklahoma, with her children by her side.

Carol was born on September 28, 1952, to Thomas Edward Owens and Elizabeth Ann (Korsak) Owens in Huntington Park, California. When she was 15 years old, her family moved to El Reno, Oklahoma where she went to High School and met her high school sweetheart.

Carol married Joel Wakefield on February 13, 1971, in El Reno. Joel preceded her in death on May 21, 2022.

Throughout Carol's life, she worked different jobs, but waitressing was her passion. She loved to please people and she never met a stranger. After retirement, she loved traveling the country with Joel on their Goldwing Motorcycle with their Goldwing family. When she wasn't riding, she loved working in her yard, planting flowers, decorating her house, inside and out. She loved taking care of everyone.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth Ann Korsak and Thomas Edward Owens, her husband Joel of 50 years.

Carol is survived by her sister, Janet McCracken of Okay, Oklahoma, son Joey Wakefield of Chandler, daughter Brandi and Mike Murray of Chandler, Grandson Tyler and Pricilla Wakefield of Prague, Oklahoma, Braydon Murray and Mason Murray both of Chandler, and 3 great-grandkids, Keaton, Kasen, and Lily all of Prague, Oklahoma.
