Nancy Ann Wake (née Fields) was born on February 12, 1951, in Bartlesville, OK, to Frank and Dolores Fields. She passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 74.
Nancy grew up in Bartlesville, where she formed many lifelong friendships and began a life rooted in care and community.
On December 30, 1976, after a whirlwind romance, Nancy married the love of her life, Dennis Huber Wake.
A devoted nurse, Nancy dedicated her life to helping others. Her caring spirit and sense of humor made her the one people turned to in times of need. She enjoyed good food, gambling, and cherished time spent with family and friends.
Lovingly known as “Aunt Nanny” to her niece and nephew, Nancy’s warmth and presence will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her sister Linda and husband Craig Ferguson of Grove, OK; brother John Fields and wife Laurie of Grove, OK; sister Janis Dragon of Claremore, OK; and niece Lindsey Fields and husband Jeremy Crosby of Buhler, KS.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dennis, her parents, Frank and Dolores, and her nephew, Troy Ferguson.
