Velma Louise (Chambers) Wagnon, 85 of McAlester passed away April 19, 2026 in McAlester.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory, McAlester.
Louise Chambers was born in Sand Springs Oklahoma on November 13th, 1940 to Lowell Chambers and Hazel Chambers. Louise was one of nine children she grew up in Sand Springs, OK and attended Sand Springs High School. After high school she married Roy Kidd, this union produced four children, Scott Kidd, Bryan Kidd, Jeffery Kidd, and Todd Kidd. On February 4th 1969 Louise married Jim Wagnon in Miami, OK. They then relocated to McAlester, OK where Louise would go on to work several jobs before finally finding her passion with the Department of Human Services where she worked for over 30 years doing the things she loved, always helping someone. Whatever or wherever she was she was always trying to help someone, and she will truly be missed by all who knew her she was one of a kind. Jim and Louise had one child Jason Wagnon on November 16th, 1972.
She was preceded in death by brothers, William Chambers, Clyde Chambers, Warren Chambers, Glen Chambers, and Gene Chambers. Sisters Rosiana Harris, Patricia Rodgers. Sons Scott Kidd and Jeffery Kid. Grandson Shawn Kidd.
She is survived by husband Jim Wagnon of the home, son Jason Wagon of the home, granddaughter Madison Wagnon of the home, Bryan Kidd and wife Donna of McAlester, OK, Todd Kidd and wife Anna and son Caleb of Shreveport, LA, also special sister Eunice Campbell of Hugo, OK, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
