John Robert Wade, 86, of Cole, died Saturday, August 6, 2016, at his home. The son of Enid Newton Wade and Stella Mary Melissa (Price) Wade, he was born March 1, 1930 in Cole, Oklahoma.

John married Wanda Laverne Boettler on July 20, 1955, in Blanchard, Oklahoma. He worked as a farmer his whole life and was a Baptist in faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, and fishing. John loved animals and especially enjoyed his three dachshunds and one fat cat.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, "Mugg" Wade and Clarence "Fat" Wade.

John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wanda Wade of Cole; one daughter, Carol Wade of Cole; one sister, Lena Mae Rogers of Sulphur; a nephew, Roy Rogers and wife, Rolanda, of Davis; two nieces, Janice Rogers of Sulphur, and Sharon Moss and husband, Ray, of Tennessee; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard with cremation to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
