Jack Marland Wade

Jack Marland Wade
September 8, 1935 ~ November 8, 2017

Jack Marland Wade, of Linden, Arizona passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Springerville, Arizona. He was born on September 8, 1935 to Madalynn Blakemore and Richard Wade in Stilwell, Oklahoma.

Jack attended Stilwell High School and Northern Arizona University graduating with a degree in Forestry. Jack served in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona. This is where he met the love of his life, Sally Samuels. They recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. After graduation he served 33 years with the U.S. Forest Service retiring from the Apache- Sitgreaves National Forest.

Jack served as president of the White Mountain Clothe-a-Child serving over 25 years. He was also an active member of the Masonic Lodge and El Zaribah Shrine.  Jack coached a small town slow pitch women's softball team from Round Valley taking them to the national tournaments two consecutive years placing second.

Jack is survived by his wife, Sally; daughter, Sharon; sons, Danny (Becky) and Scott; two granddaughters, Shelbie and Alicia; three great-grandchildren, Sylas, Colbie and Rilynn and one more due in January; siblings, Joan Isaacs, Mary Thomason, Peg (Mike) Thompson, Noon (Charlotte) Blakemore all residing in Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the White Mountain United Methodist Church, 261 North 5th Street, Show Low, Arizona.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the White Mountain Clothe-A-Child, P.O. Box 1837, Show Low, Arizona 85902.

Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
