Funeral services for Ruby Juanita Vitasek, 84, Enid, will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel. Committal prayers and interment will be Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas, under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.
Ruby was born on January 2, 1933 in Terrell, Texas, the daughter of Peter Simon and Ruth Fay Lorette Vanderpool Kuykendall, and passed away peacefully on July 15, 2017 in Enid. Ruby was raised in Corsicana, Texas. Ruby married Ocie Pritchett. To this union two sons were born, Allen and Danny. She later married Arthur Leon Vitasek, Sr. They lived in Long Island, New York, Florida, and finally Waco, Texas. To their union, Arthur, Debbie, Scotty, Anne were born. Arthur passed away in 1991. Ruby moved to Enid, Oklahoma in 1989.
Survivors include, Doug Davidson, companion for over 30 years; children, Allen Pritchett of Enid, Anne Vitasek of Corsicana, Texas , Debbie Annette of Pensacola, Florida, Arthur Vitasek of Arizona, and Danny Pritchett of Florida; grandchildren, Crystal, Mandy, Ashley, Jessica, Chris, and Alisha, numerous great-grandchildren, sisters, Linda Kuykendall, Brenda Kuykendall, Minnie Eubanks, her puppy, Baby, numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruby was preceded in passing by her parents, son, Scotty, brothers, William and J.D. and sister Ruth. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
