Ileta Faith (Buckmaster) Vinyard
January 6, 1955 ~ November 11, 2020 (age 65)

Ileta Faith (Buckmaster) Stiles, Vinyard went to be with Jesus on November 11, 2020 in Tecumseh, OK.

She was born on January 6, 1955 in Tecumseh, OK. She was the youngest of 6 children born to Eddie and Virgie (Smith) Buckmaster. Ileta was a lifelong resident of Tecumseh. She attended Tecumseh Public Schools and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1973.

She went to work at the age of 12 at Morgans Rexall Drug in Tecumseh. She worked at Shermans Hallmark in Shawnee and as a teachers aide for Tecumseh Public Schools. In 1983 she went to work for Turners Insurance Agency for 8 years. Ileta acquired her insurance license and worked for State Farm until 1994. She then began working at Shawnee Medical Center Clinic in 1994 as a medical transcriptionist until 2007. She formally retired in 2010.

Ileta was a lifelong member of the Shawnee Downtown Pentecostal Holiness Church where she taught the Primary Sunday School Class for 16 years.

She was noted for her singing at a very young age and began singing in church at the age of 4. Ileta entered the teen talent competition through church and won the National Female Vocal Soloist division at the age of 15. She joined a group of National Teen Talent winners, touring and performing in churches in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri and Texas. As her singing continued to flourish she and her sister Jona were invited to sing on Channel 10 in Ada, OK on the Hudson Brothers Show. Ileta also performed several years at the Konawa All Night Singing and the Seminole All Night Singing. She always enjoyed singing, and music in general.

Ileta had a green thumb and enjoyed growing African violets indoors and various outside flowers and plants. She also enjoyed cooking, shopping, and attending open houses in new housing additions. She always enjoyed seeing new places. The thing Ileta enjoyed most was attending her children and grandchildrens programs and activities. Her children, grandchildren and dachshunds were the highlights of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Noman Buckmaster; sister, Janee Hill; and brother-in-law, Gene ODell.

Ileta is survived by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Shayne and Misty Stiles and Ryan and Courtney Stiles, all of Tecumseh; grandson, Masen Stiles; granddaughter, Makenzi Stiles; sisters, Arthenia McCullar and husband Bob, Jona Lackey and husband Abel and Lavonne ODell; and many other family and friends.
