Manuel Vazquez Viezcas, 56, of Tonkawa, OK, left this life on May 15, 2022, in Blackwell, OK. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Friday, May 20, 2022 at Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Tonkawa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 20, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tonkawa, with Father Balaswamy Bathini officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 505 Thunderbird Rd, Tonkawa, OK 74653.
Manuel was born on March 2, 1966, in Labor Nueva, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Manuel Vazquez Flores and Teodosa Viezcas Gomez. Manuel worked as a truck driver. He loved his grandchildren and was excited for the expected birth of his third. Manuel enjoyed going to the lake, fishing and being outdoors. He was well known for his cook-outs, grilling steaks and pork chops for his family. He will be greatly missed.
Manuel is survived by his wife, Silvia, of the home; children, Claudia Haltom and her husband, Seth, of Alva, OK, Manuel Vazquez, Jr., and his wife, Brenda, of Alva, OK and Arturo Vazquez of Tonkawa, OK; grandchildren, Sofia Haltom and Miguel Haltom; his mother, Teodosa Gomez, of Mexico; sisters, Emma Vazquez and Agustin Soto, of Oklahoma City, OK and Hilda Garcia and Carlos of Oklahoma City, OK. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Martin Vazquez.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 320 W North Ave, Tonkawa, OK 74653 or Stillwater Cancer Center, 1201 W 6th Ave, Stillwater, OK 74074.
