Lovella Vickery, age 60, of Lexington passed away on November 14, 2023. Lovella Gaylene White was born on December 18, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the youngest of two children born to Ruben Lankfard White and Lovia Vonabelle (Moisant) White.
She grew up in Oklahoma City and attended school there, graduating from U.S. Grant High School in 1981. Shortly after, she decided to take some college courses to better herself and her future.
One of Lovella’s greatest accomplishments in life was becoming a proud mother to her three sons- Taggart, Tarren, and Taylor. She considered herself blessed to be a stay-at-home mother and truly valued getting to educate her children in school and life. They shared countless memories that will forever be cherished. In her free time, Lovella loved to crochet. She was very crafty and artistic, making everything from blankets and dish pads to dresses. Lovella was very strong-willed and stood strong in the face of adversity. Although she faced many challenges in life, she was an overcomer. Lovella was very supportive of her loved ones, and was always there to lend a helping hand when needed. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ruben and Lovia White; brother-in law, Arnold “Arney” Millican and several other family members.
Lovella is survived by: her sons, Taggart Vickery, Tarren Vickery, and Taylor Vickery all of Lexington; sister, Wanda Millican of Oklahoma City; mother-in-law, Patricia Dollar and husband Garner of Norman and a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date. www.wilsonlittle.com
