A memorial service to celebrate the life of Rory Shaun Vickers, 45, of Durant who passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2008, at his home following a lengthy illness, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Andy Burns will officiate.
Shaun was born September 27, 1963, in Lubbock, Texas, to Billy Daniel and Rayna Peacock Vickers.
He moved to Durant in 1977 from Greenville, Texas, and he later worked as a computer technician.
He attended North West Church of Christ and he enjoyed fishing, camping and playing on the computer.
Shaun deeply loved his family especially his nieces and nephews. Shaun will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Vickers and grandparents.
Left to cherish Shaun's memory are his mother, Rayna Buckmaster of the home; brother, David Vickers and wife Sherry of Olathe, Kansas, sister, Tanya Horne and husband Michael of Bridgeport, Texas; nieces and nephews, Steffen Vickers, Laura Vickers, Laura Vickers, Taylor Vickers, Jeffrey Rogers, Haley Horne and Madison Horne; other relatives and a host of dear and loved friends.
