Ryan Earle Veysey

Ryan Earle Veysey
May 29, 1974 ~ April 12, 2025

Services to celebrate and remember the life of Ryan Earle Veysey will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, in the chapel at DeLozier Funeral Service. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 3-7 with family there to receive visitors. Ryan passed away at his home on Sunday, April 6, 2025. He was 50.

Born in Houlton, Maine on May 29, 1974, to Russell E. and Robin L. (Dunlop) Veysey. Being part of a military family Ryan was raised and educated in several different states and graduated from Limestone High School in Limestone, Maine. Ryan did continue his education and received some college credit before joining the United States Navy. He faithfully served his country for 6 years before receiving his honorable discharge. Moving to Chelsea in 1997, Ryan married the mother of his children Jamie Mullis in 1998 at the Assembly of God in Chelsea. Their marriage was gifted with 3 sons, Austin, Ethan, and Jeremy (JR). Ryan provided for his family working as a sheet metal fabricator.

A man that loved his family and especially his sons. Ryan was his boys’ biggest fan and it didn’t matter if they were on the field or court, Ryan was there to support them. He liked watching sports and had a few favorite teams of his own. Ryan was a die hard Sooner fan, he liked the Boston Red Socks when it came to baseball and Boston Celtics when it came to basketball. According to son Austin you would have to mention his favorite NFL team the New England Patriots. Not a world traveler, Ryan did make time to travel to Florida, Maine, and Mississippi to visit family and friends.

When free time did present itself you might find Ryan fishing or as his son put it pond hopping. Ryan was also pretty good with a set of golf clubs. He enjoyed not only playing the game but just being on the course with friends. A man whose life was cut short in a very tragic manner. Ryan has left a legacy that will live on in the lives of his family and friends.

Ryan is survived by his children, Austin Veysey and wife Emily, Ethan Veysey, Jeremy (JR) Veysey, father, Russell Veysey and wife Etta, mother, Robin Rowland and husband GR, brothers, Robert E. Veysey, Harrison Rowland and wife Danielle, sisters, Dani Hendrix and husband AJ, Gail Wells and husband Jake, Megan Lesniak and husband Kyle, and Erin McDonald, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family. Ryan was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Rowland and his grandparents.
