Ricky Ray Venable

Ricky Ray Venable
August 28, 1957 ~ May 27, 2022

 Ricky Ray Venable passed from this earth to his eternal resting place May 27, 2022, at the age of 64. He was born on August 28, 1957 in Pawnee, OK to his parents, Darrell (Bud) & Irene (Lytle) Venable to where he lived there all of his life. Rick was born the oldest of two children. He graduated from Pawnee High School in 1975 and remained friends with many of his classmates through out the years. His first job after high school was in the oil field with his uncle Bob Cavett. In 1986, he married Glennis Leigh where he gained a bonus son, Aaron. Even though the marriage did not work out, Aaron and Rick kept in touch and were very close. In 1991, he married Sherry Willard and in 1992 they had a daughter, Brittany Deanna Venable. Just a few years ago, he met another daughter, Tambi Hood. He was delighted to meet Tambi, her husband and his two granddaughters and talked about them often. In 1980 he began his career with Carbon Black until he retired in 2013.

Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Irene, and grandparents, Sherman and Mattie Lytle, Buck and Goldie Venable. He is survived by his brother, Randy Venable of the home; daughter, Brittany (Dee) Venable and Buckle of Tulsa, Oklahoma, daughter; Tambi Hood and Justin, two granddaughters Ava and Emma of Winnsboro, Texas; nephew Logan Venable, Stillwater, OK, bonus son; Aaron Leigh of Morrison, Oklahoma and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rick was a member of the Pawnee First Baptist Church and was a true believer in our Lord & Savior. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and pretty much anything outdoors. His favorite past time was to hang out with his friends and watch OU football. Rick also enjoyed traveling and did as much as he could.
