Bobby Lee Vaughn Born November 25, 1964, died October 7, 2019, at the age of 54 years 10 months. Parents are Debra and Larry Vaughn, Theda and Allen Hamilton.
Bobby attended Maryetta Elementary School, Stilwell High School, NSU Tahlequah and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Bobby practiced as a Registered Nurse for the majority of his adult life. He was employed by Tahlequah City Hospital, W.W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah, Emergency/Trauma Nurse at Hillcrest Medical Center for many years, St. John Hospital and did some traveling nursing. Bobby was a very good nurse, his coworkers and patients all loved Bob.
Bob grew up in Adair County doing all things boys do, playing football, hunting, fishing, riding skateboard, and motorcycles. Bobby enjoyed each and every day of his life. He loved being one of the kids, all his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, children, and grandchildren loved playing with him. He always had time to play and go on great adventures, but was never too busy to stop and investigate and explain how something worked, what kind of bug or snake that is. His greatest passion was reading, he would read anything and everything. He informed his Mom there are wonderful articles in the Wall Street Journal.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Wallace Vaughn, Mary (Tehee) Vaughn Leach, Norma Jean, and John Catron, baby sister Angela Vaughn, niece Jelisa Sanchez.
Bobby is survived by his parents: Deborah and Larry Vaughn Sr. Muskogee, Theda and Allen Hamilton Stilwell, brothers and sisters Kristi Sanchez and husband Juan Stilwell, Justin Hamilton and Marie Sanders of Stilwell, Laina Vaughn and fiance Aaron Freeman, Jenna Vaughn, and Larry Vaughn Jr and Sherri Smith all of Muskogee, and daughters Terra and Miles Compton of Dallas, Elizabeth Vaughn Tulsa, Abigail Vaughn Tulsa, and Kaitlynn Vaughn, and his nine grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and friends are left to mourn his passing.
Visitation was held Thursday, October 10 at Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Tahlequah. Memorial was held Friday, October 11 in Tahlequah.
