Barbara Lorraine Vaughn, 66, passed away October 17, 2014 in Tulsa, OK. Memorial service will be held October 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Woodward, OK.
Barbara was born January 8, 1948 in St Genevieve, MO to Leon and Edith Vaughn. In the late 70's she moved to Oklahoma and by the early 80's she, along with her husband John, opened up Johnboy's Lounge in Woodward, Oklahoma. She was a wonderful cook and had great passion for running Johnboy's and did so until the late 80's. There wasn't a Thanksgiving or a Christmas at Johnboy's where she didn't prepare a free dinner for anyone who wanted to come. Aside from driving around in her black Trans Am she was one of the best pool players around. Above all else though, Barbara loved her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed each moment she was able to spend with them. She will be missed by each of them and will be forever in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her father Stanley Leon Vaughn, mother Edith Lorine Vaughn, son-in-law Michael Wayne Matteson, granddaughter Brandy Lorraine Matteson, and grandson Robert Austin Rose. She leaves behind her children Katherine Matteson Scott and husband Walter of Woodward, OK, Karl Williams and wife Deanna of Woodward, OK and Robert F. Rose of Oklahoma City, OK, grandchildren Tiffany Matteson Scott and fianc� David Crawford, Nathaniel Wayne Matteson, Kristina Inks and husband Ronnie, Karley Lightfoot and husband Austin, Tyler Ivey, Andrew Rose, Alexis Rose, Shannon Killman and husband Kyle, Leila Day and husband Ronnie, Kristin Harrington and husband Robbie, 10 great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and many other family and friends.
