Jesus "Jesse" Vargas, 54, Hollis, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Jesse was born on November 9, 1971, in Hollis, Oklahoma to Domingo and Alifonsa (Zapata) Vargas. He grew up in Hollis and attended school there. Jesse worked as farm laborer for most of his life. He enjoyed dancing and was a comedian at heart. He cherished times spent with his family and friends.
His parents; wife, Alma Vargas; and his siblings, Augustine Vargas, Dominga Dominguez, Marcus Vargas, Isabel Vargas, Pete Vargas, Martha Rosales, Mary Rosales, Trina Vargas, and Raymond Vargas; preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Jonathan Vargas, Mariah Vargas, and Jesse Vargas, Jr.; a grandson; five siblings, Frank Vargas and wife, Crystal, Ruben Vargas and wife, Tammy, David Vargas, Anita Rubio and husband, Joel, and Janie Renteria; and numerous other nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM January 10, 2026, at the True Vines Church in Hollis, Oklahoma. Arrangements and cremation are under the care of the Harmon County Funeral Home.
