John August VanHoff

November 26, 1960 ~ January 21, 2004

John August VanHoff was born November 26, 1960 in Sioux City, Iowa to Mary Louise and Harris Raymond VanHoff.

He passed away January 21, 2004 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 43 years, 1 month and 25 days.

John was raised in Paso Robles, California. He remained there until he was 22, when he moved to Boise, Idaho. He later returned to California before moving to Cheyenne in 1995.

He married Joann Ames at the Cheyenne United Methodist Church. They made their home in Cheyenne and John worked at the B & H Cafe.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were held Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cheyenne United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Don Harrold.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne; several children including his daughter, Crystal VanHoff; one grandson, Bubs; seven brothers and sisters, Raymond VanHoff, Mary Margaret Norman, Katherine Ann Warner, Mike VanHoff, Ella Louise Vernoy, Fern Elsena Banks and Jo Ann Aviles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
