Everett Raymond VanDorn Jr. passed away on July 3, 2022, in Copan, Oklahoma at the age of 87. He was born to Everett Forest VanDorn and Norma Viola Mayrer on January 31, 1935.
After graduating high school, Everett went to aviation school before joining the army in 1957. He had many careers after leaving the army in 1960 including, miner, artificial fishing lure manufacturer, and rock specialist. In his free time, he enjoyed gold mining and rock collecting, but what he loved most was fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father, Everett; mother, Norma; brothers, James and Bill; and his nephew, John.
He is survived by his sister, Brinda VanDorn of Dewey; nephew, Timothy Thomas and wife Courtney and three great nieces of Sedan, Kansas; and Dawn Hershberger of Council Grove, Kansas.
