Stilwell, OK ~ Visitation for Rose VandenBergh will be held on Saturday September 14, 2013 at the Pleasant View Church of Christ in Stilwell, OK from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Rose Nettie VandenBergh the daughter of George Hayse and Eva Jewell (Isaacs) Morris was born September 24, 1946 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky and departed this life on September 12, 2013 in Lexington, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 19 days.
Rose enjoyed gardening whether it was her flowers, which she loved, or her vegetable garden she always took the time to be in the garden working. She loved canning and enjoyed preserving the harvest that her hard work had provided to feed her family throughout the year. She enjoyed going to yard sales and was kind of a yard sale queen because she could always find the best deals. Rose enjoyed fishing and spending time outside. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Rose touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 siblings: Jack W. Morris, Bernice Price-Comer, Gerald Dean Morris, Betty Rhodes and Bonnie Rhodes and twin great-granddaughters Hope and Faith.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband John VandenBergh of the home; 3 children: Gregory Hayes Allgood and wife Tammy of Stilwell, Rebecca Morris and husband Russell Morris Jr. of Westville, and Zebediah Allgood of Guthrie; 2 brothers Russell Morris Sr. and wife Reba and George B. Morris and wife Retha all of Stilwell; 1 sister Vivian Davis and husband Shawn of Siloam Springs, AR; 10 grandchildren James Lloyd Allgood and wife Elizabeth, Samuel Allgood and wife Talahna, Brian Allgood and wife Rachael, Brandy Williams and husband Quinten, Jason Young, Ina Rose Snowden and husband Michael, Nathan Allgood and Addison Neaumann, Katie Allgood, Johannes Morris and Hayden Allgood; and 8 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
