Chacye Jerai "Chace" Vance
August 29, 1984 ~ December 11, 2017

Chacye "Chace" Jerai (Stein)(Dawes) Vance, 33, of Stillwater, OK passed away on December 11, 2017. Arrangements are under the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Eden Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 9211 South Fairgrounds Rd, Perkins, OK. Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the funeral home. 

Chace was born on August 29, 1984 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Brian Vance and Tammye (Stein). He had six brothers and two sisters. Chace attended Ponca City Schools and later moved to Rockford Illinois to finish school there. From childhood, Chase was raised in St. Luke's Church of the Nazarene in Ponca City, OK. 

Chace loved to skateboard, listen to music, watch great movies, hanging out with his family, going thrift store shopping, drawing, painting and writing. He loved collecting Bull Terriers and anything else that was unique and different just like him. He had worked at Ponca Glass and Wal-Mart. He was very courteous, and caring to others. He was a Christian, but fought a long hard battle with Schizophrenia and depression. He believed in researching new medications in the mental health field. 

Chace is survived by his parents, Tammye (Stein) (Dawes) Rogers and husband, William (Bill) of Perkins, Oklahoma, Brian Vance and Rene Craig of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; daughter, Allye Lane Bible of Stillwater, Oklahoma; brothers, Blake Dawes and Shelbee of Edmond, Oklahoma, Isaiah Bacca of Perkins, Oklahoma, Brandon Vance of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Joshua Vance of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Steven Vance of Tahlequah, Forrest Rogers of California; sisters, Melissa Rogers of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Katlynn Vance of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; maternal grandmother, Billye Stein of Ponca City, Oklahoma; paternal grandmother, Sarah Rabbit of Hulbert, Oklahoma; aunts and uncles, Tim and Wanda Stein of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Kimberly Jones of Hulbert, Oklahoma, Marie Smith, Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Roger Vance, Tahlequah, Oklahoma; and numerous cousins, and other relatives and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jerry Raymond Stein and his paternal grandfather, Victor Wayne Vance.

The family wants to thank the PACT Team for all the help and support that they gave Chace.
