Dorothy Lee (Horrall) Utsler, age 95, of Enid, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020, at Golden Oaks Retirement Community in Enid. No services are planned at this time, the family plan to celebrate Dorothy's life at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born November 20, 1924, in Enid to Gifford and Marie (Wagner) Horrall. She married her high school sweetheart, Squire Washington Utsler on New Year's Day 1946. They had just celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary two days before he passed away on January 3, 2019.
Dorothy's passion in life was being a homemaker; taking care of her husband and children was her number one priority. She was an excellent cook and was known for her amazing pies. She peeled every apple and handmade every crust. She loved to garden and provide a lovely home for her family. Before the kids were born, she liked to go to the Great Salt Plains lake and participate in the Powder Puff Boat Derby. She and Squire were members of the First Baptist Church in Enid.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Squire Utsler; her sister, Margie Nicholson; and brother-in-law Tom Nicholson. She is survived by two children, Lori Lee Lenz and husband Joel of Garfield, Arkansas; Hal W. Utsler and wife Oleta, of Ringwood; three grandchildren, Kelsi Lenz and partner, Christina D'Ambrosio, of Chicago, IL; Colby Lenz and wife Allyson of Overland Park, KS; and Tyler Lenz and fianc� Roxanne Pico, of Moore, OK. She also leaves three great-grandchildren; Tyler's son Ezra Lee, and Colby's two girls, Paisley Jayne and Aubrey Mae; niece Pam Gregor and husband Phil, of Ohio; niece Francee Hume and husband Jeff, of Oklahoma City; and nephew Tommy Nicholson and his wife Marty, of North Carolina.
Memorial's in Dorothy's name may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
