Nina Kay Turner was born July 3, 1956 in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas to Charles Ray Goldman and Dorothy (Fowler) Goldman.
With strength and dignity, she fought her battle with cancer and passed from this life on October 2, 2006 at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 50 years 2 months and 29 days.
Nina was married to Tim Turner and together they had five children.
Nina spent her entire lifetime in the Stilwell area and graduated from Stilwell High School.
She worked for Tyson Foods for 23 years.
She was a wonderful mother who helped to raise many children other than her own.
Her children meant everything to her and they made up her entire world.
She had a sense of humor, enjoyed going to the lake, taking road trips and going for walks in the woods.
Dancing, music and the great outdoors were just some of her favorite things.
Nina's parents, Charles and Dorothy Goldman, preceded Nina in death.
Nina leaves behind a loving family including her husband, Tim, two daughters, Callie and Jacie Doherty; two brothers, Dwight Douglas Goldman, and Charles Stewart Goldman; four sisters, Sandy Speight and husband, Robert, Ruby Garrett, Myla Lee, and Jill Cosper and husband, Joe; two step-sons, Russ Turner and wife, Melissa and Adam Turner and wife, Tiffany; one stepdaughter, Tracy Carlile and husband, Matt; one grandson, Ethan Turner and many other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Services were held Thursday, October 5, 2006 at First Christian Church with Pastor Kevin Spurlock officiating.
Interment will follow at Bethesdan Cemetery in Morrow, Arkansas under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
