Funeral services for J. W. Turner will be conducted at 10:00 a.m, Wednesday in Crestview Baptist church with Dr. Larry Ashlock officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
J. W. Turner was born May 4, 1936 in Delhi to Ethel Killian and William W. Turner and died Saturday, October 16, 1999 at his home at the age of 63.
He married his wife, Joy on January 31, 1957 in Elk City.
J. W. worked for Exxon in Oklahoma City, Houston and Midland.
He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.
J. W. Turner was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one son.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Turner of the home; one daughter, Deborah Kay Potter and husband Ron of Midland, Texas; his mother Ethel Killian of Sayre; one brother, Otis Turner of Keno Bay, Mexico; two sisters, Clorene Midyett and Nita Kincannon, both of Sayre; two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday in Ellis Funeral Home.
