Jack D. Turner

July 6, 1925 ~ September 26, 2004

In Loving Memory

Jack D. Turner, 79, of Morro Bay passed away on September 26, 2004 at a San Luis Obispo Care Center.

Jack was born July 6, 1925 in Altus, Oklahoma. He proudly served in World War II with the 99th Infantry Division "Battle Babies" in Europe throughout the war. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2814 Atascadero, CA and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Jack and his first wife Lou had sons, Michael D. Turner and John P. Turner. They lived in Texas, Arizona, Bakersfield, CA and then the Central Coast until Lou passed away in 1979. He worked many years in the automobile business in Bakersfield for Leo Meek Automobiles, Haberfelde Ford and Three Way Chevrolet until moving to the Central Coast.

Jack married Saundria in 1983 and they lived in Cayucos, then Cambria and finally Morro Bay. They enjoyed traveling via motor home and buying antiques and collectibles. Thanks to Mike and his wife Karen and John and his wife Joi they became the proud grandparents of Jordan, Julia, Mary, Matthew, Patrick and great grandchild Emily.

Jack was a proud Veteran and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, family and his best dog Joey.

A private memorial service is planned for November 20th in Cayucos. Remembrances may be sent to Hospice Partners of the Central Coast, 227 South Street, Suite R, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
