Hazel Turner

February 18, 1912 ~ October 15, 2003

Services: Mon., Oct. 20, 1:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Hazel Turner, 91, who passed away October 15, 2003, Pastor Charles Toy will officiate.

Hazel was born on February 18, 1912, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, she has lived to be the oldest and last of her family of nine children.

Hazel came to California with her Langley family in 1937 from Elk City, Oklahoma. She married Paul W. Turner in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 3, 1940, they had been married for 34 years when he passed away in 1973. She lived in Lamont, Bakersfield, and Stockton, California all her married life. Hazel worked for California Cedar Products making pencils for 10 years or so. After the death of her brother, Charles Langley, she moved back to Bakersfield in 1980.

Hazel is survived by her sisters-in-law Media Turner of Bakersfield and Lois Langley of Stockton; niece DeWanda and Kenneth Ingram of Los Osos and may nieces and nephews.

Visitation begins today 12:00 - 9:00 p.m.
