Bobby Dean Tumelson, 82, of Blanchard, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at his home. The son of George Columbus Tumelson and Robbie Etta (Pitts) Tumelson, he was born July 24, 1934 in Clarksville, Arkansas.
He served in the U.S. Army and in the Army National Guard. Bobby married Vivian Hiser on October 10, 1970 in Gainesville, Texas. He worked for General Motors and later for Tinker Air Force Base as a machinist. Bobby was a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Blanchard. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the casino.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant brothers; two brothers, Orville Tumelson and Lee Tumelson; and a step-son, Danny Kelly.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Tumelson, of Blanchard; three daughters, Donna Brooks of Hydro, Robbie Gregorius of Colorado, and Taressa Long of Arizona; two step-sons, Ken Hiser of Wynnewood and Rick Kelly and his wife, Audrey, of Oklahoma City; fifteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; special friends who were like family, David and Brenda King; and many other loved ones and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Memorial donations may be made in Bobby's name to the Telecom Pioneers Southwest Chapter 136 Thunderbirds, 6920 Northwest 8th, Oklahoma City, OK 73127.
