Rossie Mae Anderson-Trout was born June 28, 1924 in Dryden, Oklahoma to Lillie Mae and Greer Ross Anderson at home with a midwife present until Dr. Husband from Hollis, Oklahoma could come. She passed away July 4, 2016 at Reydon, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years and 6 days.

When Rossie was 2 years old, she had the Summer Complaint illness after which she had learned to walk again. Later at the age of 6 was diagnosed with Polio and was paralyzed from the waist down and her doctors said she would never walk again but after 2 years with chiropractic doctors was able to walk.

Rossie started school at Davis, Texas at the age of 8 years and walked to school. Her family moved to Mangum, Oklahoma and then to Sweetwater and attended Meridian Schools. At the age of 18 she was married to Elbert Sherman "Pood" Trout July 25, 1942. Pood went to the Army in December of 1942 and returned in December of 1945. When he returned they made their home at Mobeetie, Texas where they had their 3 children. Sherman Otto was born January 8, 1949; Fred James born July 14, 1953 and Manetta Mae born May 4, 1955. In April of 1957 they moved to Reydon to make their home.

Rossie enjoyed being a member of the Eastern Star and spending time with her family including her kids and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, Evie and Georgie; 2 brothers, A.O. and Jake; 2 sons, Freddie and Sherman Trout and 1 grandson Scott "Otto" Trout.

She is survived by her daughter, Manetta Pierson and husband, Richard, Elkhart, TX; 5 grandchildren, Anita Wilson, Hammon, OK, Susan Carlson and husband, Shawn, Berlin, OK, Lily Hernandez and husband, Mike, Bethany, OK, Crystal McEntire and husband, Randy, Sweetwater, OK and Rick Pierson and wife, Sarah, Delhi, OK; 14 great grandchildren, Blake Wilson, Cord Carlson, Case Carlson, Blakelee Hernandez, Desiree' Hernandez, M'Kilee Hernandez, Alizandree' Hernandez, Chloe McEntire, Rance McEntire, Cailey Pierson, Jaqulyn Pierson, Savannah Pierson, Malik Pierson, Nichole Pierson and a host of other relatives and friends.
