Memorial service for Lance Trickel, 64, will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Free Methodist Church, with Janice Buffalo officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Lance was born Nov. 2, 1949, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Duane and Dixie Trickel and died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at his home.
He was educated in Fort Dodge.
Lance married Joyce Hruska on April 21, 1970, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. They moved to Enid in 2002.
Lance worked at Janzen's as a mechanic for 13 years.
He was a member of the Classic Car Club of Enid, Lions Club of Fairview and was a volunteer deputy sheriff for Major County.
Lance was a member of Free Methodist Church of Enid.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of the home; his uncle, Wesley Trickel of Iowa; and very dear friends, Steve and DJ Hassler of Enid.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Trickel, and mother Jennie Trickel.
Memorials may be made to Free Methodist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
