Leticia Hernandez Trevino, of Colbert, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2024, at the age of 58. She was born on March 7, 1966, in San Jose de las Flores, Mexico, to Juan Hernandez Marquez and Aurora Hernandez Trevino.
Leticia's journey led her to a life filled with the laughter of children, the warmth of the kitchen, and the fellowship of her faith community. As a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness in Denison, Texas, she found strength and solace in her beliefs. Her commitment to her faith was unwavering and provided a foundation upon which she built her life.
Her love for crafting and knitting was only matched by the joy she felt watching her grandchildren play sports. Leticia was an avid fan of the Dodgers, and her enthusiasm for the game was infectious. She was also a great cook, whose recipes and meals brought her family together around the table, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
One of Leticia's favorite memories was a magical vacation to Disney World with all her grandchildren. The happiness she felt during that trip was a reflection of her love for being a mom and a grandma. She treasured seeing her children grow and was proud to witness the unity and love that bound her family together.
Leticia is survived by her parents, Juan Hernandez Marquez and Aurora Hernandez Trevino, her daughters, Vanesa Hernandez (Alberto Avalos) and Selina Hernandez; her son, Juan Hernandez (Haylie Hernandez); and her cherished grandchildren, Jared Avalos, Kadnn Hernandez, Arden Hernandez, Hayes Hernandez, Connor Wiegman, Oliver Wiegman, and Athena Smith. Her siblings, Antonia Hernandez, Felix Hernandez, and Lydia Moreno, and her many nieces and nephews will also hold her memory dear in their hearts.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Mells Event Center, 531 W. Crawford St, Suite #1, Denison, Texas 75020. Raymundo Sanchez will officiate.
