Rocky Vance Trammell age 39 of Washington, OK, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at his home. He was born March 22, 1975 in Albany, GA. He was the youngest of three children of Ricky and Elaine Trammell. Rocky attended Apple Creek Elementary School and Highland East Middle School in Moore, OK. His high school years were at Washington where he graduated with the class of 1993. Rocky later graduated with a BA degree from the University of Oklahoma. He was currently employed with the Oklahoma Dept. of Human Services in Purcell, OK. Rocky enjoyed all kinds of sports. He was an avid OU Sooner and OKC Thunder fan and never missed an opportunity to play a round of golf. Rocky cherished his family and was especially proud to be the father of his son Derek Vance Trammell, the love of his life. Rocky was a member of McFarlin United Methodist Church in Norman. He was a friend to many and will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by: Grandparents, John and Irene Toole of Bainbridge, GA and Leroy and Imogene Trammell of Bing, OK; Uncles, Richard Trammell of Conway, AR and Darrell Tonne of Norman; A cousin, Kirk Clements of Tucson, AZ.
Rocky leaves behind: Son, Derek Trammell of the home in Washington; His parents, Ricky and Elaine Trammell of Washington; Brother, Glenn Edward Trammell of Bainbridge, GA; Sister, Sheila Malaine Leverette of Woodstock, GA; Aunts and Uncles, Annelle and Murrell Fulford of Belhaven, NC Louise and Eugene Sadler of Tallahassee, FL Shirley Tonne of Norman, OK Pete and Sarah Trammell of Holdenville, OK Charlotte and Mark Clements of Tucson, AZ Bonnie Trammell of Conway, AR; Nieces, Laura Trammell of Aplachicola, FL Christa Bryant and husband Brandon of Columbiana, AL Ashley Trammell of Calera, AL Nephews, Cory Thomas and wife Kaitlyn of Marietta, GA Kyle Thomas of Mariettta, GA. Two great nephews, one great niece, many cousins and a host of friends.
A Memorial Celebration will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 3, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Washington, OK. Arrangements are by Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell, OK.
