Wilma Louise Trammel, age 86 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away in the Heritage Villa Nursing and Rehab Center, Bartlesville. She passed on December 5, 2017, to be in the presence of the Lord.
Wilma Louise Huff was born on November 19, 1931 in Nowata, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of George Huff and Sadie (Pearson) Huff. She was raised in the Nowata community where she received her formal education.
Wilma and Jess Trammel were united in marriage on February 24, 1954. They made their home in Bartlesville. Jess was a minister and pastored the Bartlesville Tabernacle Church. Wilma was a homemaker and pastor's wife. Throughout their married life, she worked alongside her husband in his ministry and cared for the welfare of the church's members. Jess preceded her in death on February 15, 2011 after 57 years of marriage.
Wilma was a member of the Bartlesville Tabernacle Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed baking, sewing and art. She was very family oriented and lived her life for others and loved going to church.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Thompson, of Bartlesville; daughter-in-law, Sherry Trammel; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jewel Baker of Bartlesville and Josie Lucas of Ochelata, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess; her parents; son, Allen Trammel; daughter, Becky Shambles; 10 siblings; and one great-grandbaby.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Wilma's name can be given to the church, Bartlesville Tabernacle, 1326 S.W. 15th St., Bartlesville, OK 74003.
Memorial services for Mrs. Trammel will be held on Saturday, December 16, at 11:00 AM, in the Bartlesville Tabernacle Church. Pastor Claud Wisinger will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
