Daniel Waterson Tracy

???? ~ February 27, 1949 | Age 63

Daniel Waterson Tracy, 63 years of age, who spent most of his boyhood in this county and resided here for a number of years at Perryton, Texas died on February 27, 1949, as the result of a paralytic stroke.

The immediate survivors of Mr. Tracy are his wife of the home address; two daughters, Mrs. Velma Haigood of Alice, Texas; Mrs. Frances McKinney, an army nurse of Denver, Colorado; a son, Claude Tracy, residing at Alice, Texas; a brother, Elbert Tracy of Cheyenne; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Moore of Sayre; and Mrs. Lola Stout of Laguna Beach, California. He also leaves a large number of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Tracy was a blacksmith-machinist, and worked extensivley over this section of the country at this trade. He was a man whose conduct merited the greatest confidence. He possessed many friends, was extremely loyal to them, and his passing will be keenly felt by all those who knew him.

Services were from the Church of Christ, Perryton, Texas, February 28, 1949 at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Lee E. Rawlings preaching the sermon.

Interment was in Ochiltree Cemetery.
