Jo Marie Holt Townsley, 68, of Centralia, Illinois died Monday, July 10, 2000 at her home. She was born March 1, 1932 to Vern and Nanneta Holland Holt at Crawford, Oklahoma.
She was married to Bob L. Townsley on March 19, 1950 at Durham, Oklahoma.
Jo Marie was a devoted wife for 50 years, a loving mother for for 49 years, a doting grandma for 27 years and was a loan officer at First National Bank, Centralia, for 20 years.
The Townsley's had lived in Centralia since June of 1969.
She was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Centralia, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, James and Eldon Holt.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Townsley of the home; two sons, Jerry Townsley and wife Darlene of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Rev. Ron Townsley and wife Bonnie of Princeton, Illinois; one daughter, Bobbie Jo Mooney and husband Charles of Houston; one sister, Ruth Keller of Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren, Jeremy Townsley and wife Susan; Greg Townsley and wife Melanie; Chad Townsley and Ethan and Shaylyn Mooney; one aunt, Veta Pearl Barton of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be Thursday, July 13, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Jonathan E. Yrshan and Andrew Urshan officiating.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of Irvin Funeral Home.
Memorial donations preferred are to Tupelo Childrens Mansion, Box 167, Tupelo, Mississippi, 38802, or to the American Cancer Society.
