Bobbie Lee Townsley

Bobbie Lee Townsley, age 85, of Kingwood, TX and formerly of Centralia, died at 3:34 a.m. On Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Kingwood, TX.

He was born on October 23, 1928 in Canadian, TX, the son of Lee and Inez (Sanford) Townsley. Bob was first married to Jo (Holt) Townsley for over 50 years who preceded him in death in 2000, and was then married to Louise(Droege) Townsley, who he enjoyed marriage and travels for six and one half  years with, who preceded him in death in 2007.

Mr. Townsley is survived by two sons - Jerry Townsley and wife Darlene of Mason, OH and Rev. Ron Townsley and wife, Bonnie of Princeton, IL; a daughter, Bobbi Mooney and husband Charles of Houston, TX; three brothers, Pete Townsley of Ft. Worth, TX, Charles Townsley of Bartlesville, OK and Ray Townsley of West Pueblo, CO; a sister, Margie Oaks of Hobbs, NM; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren: Jeremy Townsley and wife Susan of Fairfield, OH and Makenna & Kyla; Greg Townsley and wife, Melanie of Paris, IL and Andrew, Landon and Avianna; Chad Townsley and wife, Brittani of O'Fallon, IL and Conner, Caiden  Carson; Ethan Mooney and wife Morgan of Houston, TX and Shaylan Mooney of Austin, TX; step children and grandchildren: Scott Droege, Curtis and Brenda Droege and Ryan and Rachel Droege all of Richmond, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives and a sister, Laverne Townsley.

He had worked for the Natural Gas Pipeline Company in Hoffman as a Corrosion Technician. Mr. Townsley was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Centralia where he served as a deacon for many years and loved serving the Lord and helping others. He had lived in Centralia from 1969 to 2000 and later in Richmond, TX, Mason, OH and Houston, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. On Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Irvin Funeral Home Chapel in Centralia with Rev. Ron Townsley officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends may call on Thursday evening  5-7 p.m. At the funeral home. For those who wish, memorials may be  made to either the Tupelo Children's Mansion or to the Grace Hospice of Texas and will be accepted at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, who is in charge of arrangements.
