Geraldine Townsend was born on April 16, 1945 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Dorothy Mae Johnson (Pouncil) and Spokane Jones. She was raised by her stepfather Phillip Pouncil Sr. who loved and cared for her until his passing in 1989.
Geraldine graduated from College High School in 1963. Soon after, she married and had children of her own. She continued to live in Bartlesville while working at the Mutual Girls Club as an Arts Director. Later in life, she worked for Colemans in Wichita, KS., then moved on to Kansas City, Mo.; Oklahoma City, and then back home to Bartlesville. No matter where she went, she loved Bartlesville most.
Although Geraldine spent her leisure time playing Bingo, she enjoyed her new life as a child of God. Joining the Greater First Baptist Church was the best decision she could have made. As a member, not only did she grow to love and respect the Lord, but others as well.
Geraldine was called home to be with her Heavenly Father at the young age of 72, on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
She leaves behind 4 children Janine V. Livingston-Ransom and son-in-law Sidney L. Ransom , Tracy C. Livingston, Michael A. Livingston, and Phillip D. Livingston. She also had 4 sisters: Gracie L. Rogers, Leatha L. Pouncil, Lois Watkins and Johnnie Mae Simmons, 4 brothers: Samuel Jones, Kenny Jones, Phillip Eugene Pouncil, and Phillip Pouncil Jr, 10 grandchildren: Shawn Smith, Willie Taylor, Ebony Taylor, Phillip Livingston, Imara Livingston, Maalik Livingston, Maaliyah Livingston, Mikeia Allen, Landon Livingston, and Fahren Livingston, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
