Loretta Jane (Shores) Tosh
May 3, 1942 ~ February 16, 2022

Loretta Jane Tosh was born on May 3, 1942, in Coffeyville, Kansas to George D. Shores and Ruth May Shores. On February 16, 2022, she left her earthly home in Nowata, Oklahoma at the age of 79.

Loretta resided in Tyro Kansas for over 25 years. She married Billy Joe Tosh in 1967 and they were together until 1988 when he passed. Loretta loved being a Homemaker and being a Nurse at Sunset Nursing Home. Her hobbies were arts and crafts and taking care of people. Loretta’s biggest life accomplishments were getting married, having children and grandchildren.

Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe Tosh, her father George D. Shores, her mother Ruth May Shores, her brother Richard Shores, her great-granddaughter Jesslyn N. Page, and her dogs Benji and Sammie Tosh.

She is survived by her sister Rosemary Lucas and Mike Lucas, nephew Jimmy Sproul and children, her children Bunny Tosh, Corban Webber, Tina Kitt, Troy Stotts, Kelly Tosh, Randy Tosh, her grandchildren Jonathan Lee Kitt, Benjamin Lee Kitt, Tara Strickland, Jayme Stotts, Jenna Stotts, Joshua Stotts, Ashley Tate, Eric Tate, Nicole Porter, Sasha Porter, Nicholas Hawk, and her great-grandchildren, Nicholas Kitt, Asher Kitt, Noah Cobb, Kylee Cobb, Kadyn Tate, Lexi Tate, Kaleb Page, Harper Jackson, Abigail, Emmlyn and Saya Figueroa, Mason Gorby and Dai’Montae Porter.

Services have been entrusted to Stumpff-Nowata Chapel at 620 E. Cherokee Avenue, Nowata, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 24 from 9am to 6pm.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 25, 2022, at 2pm in the Stumpff-Nowata Chapel, 620 E. Cherokee, Nowata, Oklahoma.
