Gabriel Castro was born in Las Playas, Durango Mexico to Domingo Castro Jimenez and Bernardia Torres De Jimenez on April 29, 1950. He grew up in a loving home of eleven brothers and sisters. Gabriel attended school and earned his living working for the Schwan's Corporation as a sanitation technician.
Gabriel was married to the love of his life, Osie Duck Castro and they have one son, Cornelius. Gabriel and Osie enjoyed each other's company and spending time together.
Gabriel was a member of Cherry Tree Baptist Church in Stilwell, Oklahoma, where he and Osie attended regularly. He always enjoyed gospel singing, as well as singing hymns in his native language. Gabriel was an ambassador of Christ and loved sharing Jesus and his salvation with others. He was always smiling as well as encouraging others to smile and be happy and tell them God loved them.
Gabriel enjoyed riding his horse and working in the yard with his animals or the garden he and Osie grew. His yard was well manicured and his flower beds were always beautiful. Any opportunity he had to spend with his family was a blessing to him, especially gathering for holidays and special occasions.
Jesus called his good and faithful servant home from his race on earth June 3, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Gabriel was 67 years 1 month and 5 days old. Gabriel will continue to be loved by all who knew him, especially his wife, son, friends and family. Gabriel was welcomed home by his mother Bernardia, one sister, Reyna Castro De Jimenez, three sisters-in-law and four brothers-in- law.
Those left to celebrate Gabriel's memory and life include his loving wife, Osie of the home, his son Corn, his father Domingo of Aedo Durango, Mexico, three sisters, Bartola Castro De Saldana, Francisca Castro De Tapia, Consuelo Castro De Leuvano, and seven brothers, Felpe, Bernardinao, Adolfo, Efrain, Ismeal, Jose and Pablo Torres-Castro, as well as a host of friends, church family and loved ones.
Gabriel's going home celebration is one filled with many treasured memories that will be celebrated by the lives he touched, until we join him again in Heaven
