MILDRED A. TOONE
Services: Fri., Aug. 27, 10 a.m.
Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., Friday, August 27, at 10:00 a.m., for Mildred A. Toone, 74, who passed away peacefully at home with her family on August 23, 2004. Rev. Glenn Toone and Rev. James Ward will officiate.
Mrs. Toone was born October 21, 1929, in Haskell, OK, and resided in Kern County off and on for most of her life. Mrs. Toone was a secretary for Kaiser Permanente for several years and was a charter member of Canyon Hills Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Toone was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Toone of Bakersfield. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Terry Rowles and Linda and Darrell Ward; son and daughter-in-law, Guy T., Jr. and Patty Toone; daughter, Lavonne and Mike Story all of Bakersfield; eight grandchildren, Cristy Greiner, Jeremy Toone, Jenny Robison, Amy Shuck, Jeffrey Ward, Jaime McDonald, Cristin Hammons and Brian Hammons; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Hazel Toone and brother, Robert McNinch of Bakersfield; and brother, Doyle McNinch of Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, Joyce and Clemmie.
Casketbearers will be Jeremy Toone, Jeffrey Ward, James Hammons, Brian Hammons, Joe McDonald and Shannon Greiner. Honorary casketbearers will be Robert Shuck and Ed Robison.
Our mother was everyone's friend, loved her grandchildren, and with a child-like adventurous spirit, enjoyed life with her family. Led by her beloved angels, Mom went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior.
Visitation begins Thursday, 3 to 8 p.m.
