Linda Jane "Janey" (Cross) Toney
October 6, 1950 ~ March 11, 2023

Linda Jane Toney known to her friends and family as Janey passed from this life on March 11, 2023, at the age of 72 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Janey was born on October 6, 1950, in Muskogee, Oklahoma; the daughter of Ralph Jefferson Cross and Iva Irene (Hill) Cross-Blansett. Janey attended school in Dilworth and Braman, Oklahoma. Following the completion of her education Janey moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Richard Bonnie Don Toney on September 5, 1967. She began working in restaurants in Oklahoma City then later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in the mid-1970s. Janey later began working at IHOP as the manager on 21st and Utica. In the 1986, Janey and Richard moved to Osage where they purchased property and built their home. During her time in Osage, she worked at the Buck Stop in Sand Springs as well as the Hickory House in Cleveland.

Linda collected dolls, worked sudoku puzzles, enjoyed home renovations and upholstery work. She was a wonderful family storyteller, jokester as well as the family historian.

Survivors are her two sons Jesse Toney, Dustin Toney; six siblings Margarett Jones, Jeff Cross, Beverly Toney, Vernon Cross, Steve James, Ella Graham; four grandchildren Caleb Toney, Emily Toney, Taylor Toney, Zander Toney and a host of other relatives and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Toney, seven siblings Charles Cross, Bessie Mae Toney, Wanda Nobblitt, Maxine Watkins, Mildred Kahn, Harry Cross, Tommy Cross, and a son Richard Don Toney.

Services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Janey at www.chapman-black.com.
