Peggy Jean (Spearman) Tomlinson
April 13, 1935 ~ May 9, 2017

Peggy Jean (Spearman) Tomlinson of McKinney, Texas passed away on May 9, 2017 at the age of 82. She was born on April 13, 1935 to Travis Hulen and Thelma Doris (Mullikin) Spearman in Princeton, Texas.

Peggy married Harold Wayne Tomlinson on March 25, 1960 in McKinney, Texas.

She was a member of Northwest Christian Church in McKinney. Peggy worked for East McKinney Christian Church in McKinney for 25 years. She was active in the McKinney Quilters Guild.

Peggy is survived by her sons; Kent Kirkland and wife Lesia of Howe, Texas, Steven Tomlinson and wife Betty Ann of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Bruce Tomlinson and wife Jamie of Melissa, Texas; grandchildren, Trenia White Reeder, Cory Kirkland, Casey Kirkland, Laurie Foster, Bradley Kirkland, Brittany Nelson, Heidi Knight, Samuel Tomlinson, Leslie Hass, Damon Tomlinson and Cody Conway; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Anita J. Moses of McKinney; sister of choice, Becky Harris of Engleside, Texas; and other precious extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Brent Kirkland; and her sister, Eileen Spearman.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials in Peggy's honor may be made to Northwest Christian Church Building Fund, 1513 N. Bradley Street, McKinney, Texas 75069.
